The Dr. Thakorbhai V. Patel Eye Institute and Sheth M. L. Vaduwala Charitable Eye Hospital, established on 1st April 1961 by the Baroda District Eye Relief and Health Association in Baroda, Gujarat, is a NABH Accredited premier ophthalmic center dedicated to providing outstanding medical and surgical eye care. Our institute is renowned for its commitment to excellence in the field of eye health, offering a wide range of services aimed at preserving and restoring vision

TRUST BOARD
Our Trust Board is composed of esteemed members who bring a wealth of experience and dedication to our mission. They are responsible for guiding the strategic direction of our institute and ensuring that we continue to uphold the highest standards of patient care. Their leadership and vision are instrumental in driving the success and growth of our services.
Inspired and advised by Pujya Ravishankar Maharaj, the revered Saint of Gujarat, Sheth Manilal Lalubhai Shah donated a substantial amount to build our Eye Hospital. Ravishankar Maharaj, who blessed a small charitable hospital to grow into a renowned and leading ophthalmic super specialty institution, became the first founder president of the trust.
Dr. Thakorbhai V. Patel, a leading citizen and former Mayor of Baroda and Minister of Health and Panchayat, Government of Gujarat, succeeded Ravishankar Maharaj as the next president. With his dynamic and vision-oriented leadership, he engineered the progress of the institute for about three decades, placing it on both the national and international map.
